Are you ready to tackle real-world business challenges, collaborate with top talent, and compete for a cash prize? The 2025 AL for Professional Services Unity Challenge is now open for applications!

What is the Unity Challenge?

Teams of 3-5 members will be given a problem or opportunity statement that requires expert intervention in areas such as:

  • Financial diagnostic services
  • Growth strategy evaluation
  • Debt fund development
  • Scaling support
  • Marketing plan development

Teams will refine their solutions through an 8-week iteration process, pitching and improving their ideas until one team emerges as the winner! The top three teams will receive a monetary prize.

 Who Can Apply?

  • Open to African Leadership Academy students/alumni & Mastercard Foundation Scholars/Alumni
  • Apply individually or as a team (teams must have 3-5 members from diverse fields like Marketing, Consulting, Law, Fintech, Data Science, Compliance etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a data-driven mindset are essential
  • Must be comfortable collaborating in cross-functional teams and presenting solutions effectively

  • Community Call/Info Session: February 12, 2025
  • Applications Close: February 24, 2025
  • Teams Announced: March 3, 2025
  • Meet the Enterprise & Onboarding: March 4, 2025
  • Challenge Duration: March 3 – April 24, 2025
  • Final Pitch & Team Presentations: April 24, 2025
  • Winners are announced: April 30, 2025
