The Sanergy Collaborative, one of our first ever employer partners based in Nairobi, is transforming sanitation by turning waste into valuable products like fertilizers, fuels, and animal feed, all while providing safe waste collection services. Their approach fosters healthier communities and sustainable economic growth.

Sanergy Collaborative is a pioneering alliance of organizations dedicated to transforming urban infrastructure through a circular economy approach. By repurposing residual organic waste, including upcycled sanitation, the organization creates sustainable solutions that foster regenerative food systems and safe sanitation. Their innovative model not only addresses urban waste management but also contributes to carbon-negative systems, making cities more resilient against climate change. Through the production of feeds, fertilizers, and fuels, Sanergy Collaborative turns waste into valuable resources, promoting sustainable urban living.

As the world grapples with rapid urbanization and environmental degradation, the need for innovative, sustainable infrastructure solutions has never been greater. Sanergy Collaborative stands at the forefront of this mission, pioneering circular economy models that not only mitigate waste challenges but also create economic opportunities for local communities. By transforming organic waste into high-value agricultural inputs and renewable energy sources, the organization helps cities achieve long-term sustainability while addressing pressing sanitation and food security challenges.

AL for Infrastructure is excited to announce new early career opportunities with Sanergy for our young leaders to undergo a rigorous internship/job training experience, while working directly with top leadership and cofounders to solve critical and emerging business challenges. This program offers an unstructured yet highly immersive learning experience unlike traditional employment opportunities. Rather than predefined job roles, selected candidates will work closely with Sanergy Collaborative’s leadership team to tackle pressing business and operational challenges. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are eager to develop their problem-solving abilities, and are committed to making a tangible impact on urban sustainability
