Winners of the 2025 AL for Agribusiness Co-Creation Fund

Africa’s agriculture innovators are rising—collaborating, creating, and transforming their communities. This year, the AL for Agribusiness Co-Creation Fund received an overwhelming response from across the continent, reaffirming the strength, creativity, and commitment within our network.

A Snapshot of Innovation Across Africa

The 2025 call for submissions brought remarkable energy and participation:

• 43 project submissions from 183 network members
• Applications from 15 African countries, reflecting our growing continental footprint
• Projects addressing critical agricultural value chains, including seed systems, poultry, value addition, hydroponics, market access, and waste management

These numbers tell a powerful story: young African agripreneurs are not just imagining solutions—they are building them.

Celebrating 10 Outstanding Teams

Following a rigorous selection process that included community voting, and with the generous support of Small Foundation, we are proud to award $3,000 in seed funding and coaching to each of the 10 winning teams. Over the next six months, these innovators will implement their projects, strengthen their ideas, and deepen their impact.

About the Co-Creation Fund

The AL for Agribusiness Co-Creation Fund is designed to empower network members to collaborate on initiatives that drive economic and social change across Africa. The fund supports teams of 4–6 members—with at least four from the AL Agribusiness network—to co-develop solutions that respond directly to local challenges.

With $3,000 in project funding, each team works over six months to design, test, and implement impactful ideas that strengthen Africa’s agriculture sector. The Fund is more than a grant—it is a platform to:

• Foster collaboration
• Support innovation
• Build entrepreneurial capability
• Deliver meaningful community impact
