For the Deaf and hard of hearing community, sign languages are not luxuries they are lifelines. To deny their place in our societies is to deny fundamental human rights. We also celebrate organizations across the continent that are embedding accessibility and inclusion into their DNA whether by ensuring events are interpreted in sign language, prioritizing accessible communication, or cultivating leaders from all abilities.
