Applications Now Open for the AL for Health Research Fellowship!

Are you passionate about healthcare research? Do you want to make a significant impact on Africa’s healthcare system? The AL for Health Research Fellowship is your opportunity to gain comprehensive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in healthcare research.

What We Offer:

  • Structured Learning & Academic Work: Participate in online modules covering critical areas of medical research.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Get paired with experienced healthcare research professionals who will guide you through the fellowship.
  • In-Person Engagement: Spend a week in a research institute or with a research professional of your choice.
  • Research Article Development: Develop and submit a publishable research article that addresses key healthcare challenges in Africa.

Eligibility:

  • ALA/MasterCard Foundation alumni.
  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Master’s preferred).
  • Submission of a research abstract (500 words minimum) that addresses a critical health issue in Africa.
  • Full commitment to attend all sessions and complete the fellowship by March 2025.

  • Fellowship Duration: September 23, 2024 – March 28, 2025
