Today, Celumusa is pursuing his PhD at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, one of the world\u2019s foremost institutions in nursing research and education. This milestone is not simply an academic achievement; it represents his long\u2011standing commitment to advancing evidence\u2011based practice and improving health outcomes for underserved communities across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before joining Johns Hopkins, Celumusa built a robust academic and professional foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health Nursing from the University of Eswatini (formerly the University of Swaziland) and a Master of Science in Community and Public Health Nursing from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He articulates that this training shaped his core belief that mental health and public health are inseparable, especially in environments where vulnerability, stigma, and limited access to care intersect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Celumusa\u2019s research is guided by a clear and compassionate vision of creating equitable, youth\u2011centred interventions that address the dual burden of mental health challenges and HIV risk among adolescents.
