ACN is excited to announce the launch of its voluntary Ambassador Program aimed at recruiting 50 passionate and high-potential African Mastercard Foundation Scholars and Alumni volunteers.

An ACN Ambassador will have the opportunity to engage with students on campuses and in communities, organizing events, and contributing to ACN’s initiatives, thereby fostering a community of support and growth.

About the ACN Ambassador Program

Our commitment is to accelerate career pathways of young leaders who can address Africa’s grand challenges in key sectors such as agribusiness, education, healthcare, governance, infrastructure, professional services and the arts. 

Join ACN’s Ambassador Program and be at the forefront of shaping Africa’s future! We’re looking for 50 dynamic Mastercard Foundation Scholars and Alumni to lead on university campuses, connecting peers with career-transforming opportunities. What ACN Ambassadors Do

As an ACN Ambassador, you’ll play a pivotal role in building a thriving network, organizing events, and driving change across the continent—all while gaining valuable leadership experience. This programming includes: 

  • Host one event per semester on your campus;
  • Recruit 20 scholars per semester to join the various ACN programs;
  • Collect Stories of Impact from your community; and
  • Represent ACN on your campus.

About Africa Career Networks

Our experience stems from a decade of enabling high-potential youth from programs such as African Leadership Academy and Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. We do this through professional development, matching and placement as well as creating networking opportunities.

To become a volunteer ACN Ambassador, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a Mastercard Foundation Scholar or Alumni (provide proof of Mastercard Foundation scholar support);
  • Must be a national of an African country;
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment to community service;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, when required;
  • Proficiency in using social media (LinkedIn) and data tracking tools; and
  • Goal-oriented and focused on reaching or completing specific tasks to achieve target –based outcomes.

Not only will you receive full training, but you’ll also make new friends, gain valuable work experience, and it’s a great way for you to network, to improve your communication and interpersonal skills whilst boosting your CV! Take note of the application process below:
